A common question we get asked is should I book an Intensive Driving Course? An intensive driving course or ‘crash course’ is a series of driving lessons, taken over a short period, typically from 2 days to 10 days.
For many this is a popular way of fast tracking your driving and obtaining a driving licence. Be warned, they aren’t for everybody, so read on and you will have a better understanding of what a driving course will entail.

What is an Intensive Driving Course?
A Driving Crash Course or Intensive Course, Is typically from 2 -10 consecutive days of driving lessons, normally around 5 hours a day. So, instead of having weekly lessons that are usually 1 hour per lesson, and stretched out over several months, A crash course makes it possible to condense the whole learning process into a short period of time. Don’t be worried by the name “Crash Course” this is just a slang term used for the course.
Will the driving course be suited to me?
This depends on the type of person you are. You will be sitting in a car for a very long time, usually 5 hours a day. Some people who have a short attention span may struggle, our driving instructors offer regular breaks to ensure you don’t exert yourself. Most of our customers find that the day goes really quick and prefer the longer sessions to absorb all the information. They are often amazed how much and how quickly they learn.
Intensive Course with a Guaranteed Pass
No such thing. Some companies may tell you that you are guaranteed to pass the driving test the first time, but this is not the case. You could be the worlds best driver and go out on test and fluff something up, which could result in a fail. Be wary of companies offering a guaranteed pass as usually there is a catch within the small print.
When making the booking, the driving school will ask you questions about your previous driving experience. It’s important that you answer honestly. We will then advise on what course would be best for you. If you prefer, we can offer an assessment lesson and then advise you on what course may be suitable.

To book your crash course you’ll need a valid provisional licence. You will also need to have passed your theory and hazard perception tests before booking. How much does an Intensive course cost?
Our intensive driving courses range from 2-10 days. Prices start from around £385.00. Most of our driving courses come with the driving test fee included and there are no hidden extras. You will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit to secure the booking, and then the remaining balance the day before your course starts.
