Below is a copy of the old DL25 paper test report
The Driving Examiners Tablet
The clever app will use a privacy screen to make sure that the candidate is not distracted during the test. The tablet screen size is around 11″ inches tall. The tablet is housed within a wallet, held securely.
A prevention of fraud feature may be used to help check the identity of the test candidate and make sure the vehicle presented for test has a valid MOT.
Driving test results emailed to you
https://goldenmiledriving.com/index.php/the-instructors/If the learner is successful on the driving and test and passes then they will receive their full driving licences quicker as driving examiners start marking the car driving test digitally. The Leaner will still receive a verbal debrief at the end of the test and will still receive a paper Driving Test Certificate if they pass. If the leaner doesn’t have an email address they then may be offered a paper copy of the result by post.
Swapping to the paperless test report will mean learners will receive an electronic summary (sent to their chosen email address), from here they can review it with their driving instructor, pass or fail, to discuss which areas of their driving could be improved.
This is definitely a shift in the right direction, our driving school has had positive feedback to the changes. it seems, when asked, the majority learners prefer an email containing a summary of their test result as they can they easily share this report with family members. It also prevents learners misplacing the old paper test report.
We must stress that Approved driving instructors and other accompanying drivers such as friends and family, are not allowed to use a tablet whilst supervising a learner driver. A driving examiner is permitted as they are not actually teaching the learner driver.
Regulation 110 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations prohibits the use of technology if you are supervising a provisional licence holder. During a driving lesson, the instructor is supervising the learner and must therefore be in control of the vehicle at all times
