Intensive driving courses or otherwise known as Crash Courses are an extremely popular way to gain your full driving licence. However, they are not for everyone, some people prefer to take their driving lessons within their stride by having weekly driving lessons. If you have limited time or a limited budget, then an intensive course is by far the best way to learn to drive. It’s suitable for people who want to pass their driving test in one to two weeks with lessons being roughly 5 hours per day.

Plan in advance when you want to start and finish your driving course and clear your diary from work and other commitments for the time you intend to do your crash course. Make sure your driving course is your number one priority, and only focus is your course and nothing else. By doing a crash driving course you will be learning to drive in a shorter space of time compared to people doing weekly driving lessons. You should treat it like work, you want to get the most out of it and get as much done as possible in the shortest period.

Choose your Intensive Driving Course provider very carefully! Beware of agencies who will book a course and then assign you to any random instructor in the UK, this could prove a costly mistake as not only will the agency take a profit cut but you could be paired with a driving instructor who has a bad reputation. Choose your Intensive Driving Course wisely. The Practical Driving Test is now much more robust and stringent than it used to be. There’s more traffic on the roads and even more hazards to deal with. Choose a course that reflects your current driving ability. There’s no good booking a 2 day driving course if you’ve never had any previous driving experience. You want to go into your driving test feeling confident and have a chance to practice most of the driving syllabus. TIP 4
Get some private practice before you start your course. If your family members or friends are willing to take you out for some practice then this will give you an excellent head start. Be sure to make sure that you’re fully legal and displaying L plates.

How does Intensive Driving Courses Work
Firstly, You must hold a UK provisional driving licence. APPLY HERE
You will need to have passed your theory test before the start date of your intensive driving course as it is not possible to book a practical driving test with the DVSA without this. If you’re struggling with passing your theory test we offer one to one training. See our Theory Test package.

How long does intensive driving take?
This depends on which course you choose. The driving courses can be taken from 2 days to 10 days. Our courses usually run from 9am- 2pm 7 days a week.
The maximum hours that can be done per day is 6 hours. We will always send you an itinerary of your crash course, so you know what days and times your course will start and end. If you are coming from outside of Blackpool then we advise you to book a hotel. Your driving instructor will pick you up and drop you off. If you already reside in Blackpool then we pick up/drop at your home address.
